ADVOCACY: JUSTICE KNOX

Justice Knox is a faith-based non-profit made up of diverse congregations. Founded in 2016, it now includes 30 local churches. The ministry’s vision is “a just, compassionate, and thriving community for all,” and Cokesbury supports its mission to organize people to solve community problems.

THE THREE-STEP PROCESS

  1.  Listening: We ask people what community problems they see.
  2.  Research To Action: We research the problem, strategize solutions, and identify the power holders who can implement the solutions.
  3.  Action: A large public meeting called a Nehemiah Action Assembly is held. Members from all the congregations involved in Justice Knox (usually thousands of supporters) gather to hear testimonies on how these issues affect people’s lives and negotiate solutions with appropriate authorities in attendance.
